The genre is clear that it is a Rom-com because of woman introduced looking all fancy in a dress and fancy connoting upper class romance. The narrative is easily seen because we see a woman exit a taxi with breakfast so we assume it could be someone about the life of this woman and connected to the breakfast maybe it is significant to this woman. We know there will be a woman character involved and she is our protagonist because she is introduced first and the fact she is alone connotes she is strong and possible currently alone and independent.
The atmosphere makes us feel happy and relaxed connoting that the film will have a slow paced editing making us enjoy the relaxing. Themes used in this piece could be romance from her indepency at the start and her journey could reach being dependent upon someone. It is clearly set in New York because of the iconic New York yellow taxi and the big buildings around her. The sound is quite soft and soother making the us the audience feel relaxed and ready for whats to come. The titles show us that it is aimed for an upper class audience because it is sharp, also at first the titles work around the main character to introduce her and then they began to come central when the audience were relaxed.
